Microsoft Office Brand new set of logo 2018
Microsoft Office icons were last updated in 2013. Now here are the brand new logos that reflect a more modern aesthetic. Notably, they are layered in a way that allows them to separate the letter and the accompanying symbol, adding a sense of depth “which sparks opportunities in 3D contexts.”
The symbol is now larger than the letter because Microsoft wants to emphasize the content you create over the tool itself. The logo is designed as per use of the software for eg: Word logo has horizontal lines, Excel logo has grids, Powerpoint logo has a chart, outlook logo has an envelope with grid and so on.
Over 1 billion people from vastly different industries, geographies, and generations use Office. They work on different platforms and devices and in environments that are faster, more distracting, and more connected than ever before.
As per Microsoft report on medium.com “To support this changing world of work, Office is transforming into a collaborative suite that lets you work together in real-time from almost any device. We’ve infused our tools with powerful AI you can get insights from data with less effort, write a paper using your voice, or make your resume using LinkedIn insights. We’ve also added totally new apps to the suite like our AI-powered meetings and chat service, Microsoft Teams. In the end, it’s a great design that makes these experiences fluid and seamless.” The new logos will make their way over to the apps in the coming months
